Weatherization Assistance Program The Weatherization Assistance Program helps low-income persons, particularly the elderly and persons with special needs, control their home energy costs. Through this federally-funded program, Sheltering Arms Senior Services provides these services free of charge to people who meet certain eligibility requirements.
The purpose of the program is to make homes more energy efficient.
If your home qualifies, you will receive: An Energy Audit - a review of your home's energy efficiency, which identifies where air leaks may be occurring, inefficient appliances, etc. Installation of weatherization measures that increase the energy efficiency of your home Who is eligible? To Apply for Weatherization Assistance: 1. Call United Way's Helpline at 2-1-1 and request Utility Assistance and Weatherization Assistance. These programs are provided together using the same application. 2. Please be sure to bring these required items to your appointment:
