Sheltering Arms Senior Services Launches a Free Powerful Tools for Caregiving Program for Families

HOUSTON (August 13, 2009) . . . Sheltering Arms Senior Services, in its commitment to support those who are caring for an elderly family member, is launching a free Powerful Tools for Caregivers program in the Bellaire/Braeswood area. This innovative program focuses on family caregivers' health and well-being.

At the end of the 6-week course, participants will have improved self-care skills, know how to better handle difficult situations, and learned new communication, stress management and relaxation techniques.

WHO: Those who are caring for an older family member (age 60+)

WHAT: New Powerful Tools for Caregiving Program

WHERE: Sheltering Arms Senior Services, First Floor Education Center,
3838 Aberdeen Way, next to the McGovern-Stella Link Library

WHEN: 6-week program runs September 2 through October 7, 2009
Held Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
