Your gift means so much

Your contribution goes a long way in helping an elderly person in need.

  • $41 a month gives a frail elder who lives alone a sense of security and a prompt way to get help by pushing a small pendant worn around the neck.
  • $50 provides two bags of delivered groceries to an elder who is physically unable to go to the store and/or financially unable to buy food on her own.
  • $63 provides a low income elder who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease with a full day of supervision at the Sheltering Arms Day Center so his family caregivers are able to go to work and have peace of mind knowing their loved one is safe.
  • $150 provides provides two homebound elders with an in-home needs assessment by a social worker and the start of a care plan that addresses their basic needs for food, medicine and utilities.
  • $200 provides an elder suffering from the debilitating effects of depression with a new program that reduces both depressive symptoms and pain.
  • $500, combined with federal funds, covers improvement costs to make an elder's home more energy efficient and reduce utility bills, thereby freeing up funds so the elder can better afford other necessities like food and medicine.
