TXU Energy Partnership Supports Programs for Houston’s Elderly
 TXU Energy has become the charter sponsor and an active partner in Care for Elders with a $500,000, three-year commitment that will be used to extend the reach of Care for Elders’ work with older adults and family caregivers in Houston and Harris County. Sheltering Arms Senior Services serves as the lead agency and fiscal agent for Care for Elders.
TXU Energy’s funding will also allow Sheltering Arms Senior Services to provide comprehensive energy-related services to low-income clients and maximize household energy efficiency.
TXU Energy, the retail electric provider that serves the most customers in Texas, has been committed to serving Houston residential and business consumers since 2002. The company has a tradition of commitment to the communities it serves, demonstrated through the variety of programs that TXU Energy delivers to low-income and elderly customers in cooperation with over 400 social service partners across Texas.
