Home Care Staff

For more than 50 years, Sheltering Arms has provided carefully screened, highly qualified assistants to perform supportive home care tasks. All home care assistants are insured and bonded, and participate in quarterly group training sessions to enhance their job skills.

Sheltering Arms’ Home Care Assistants are:

  • Supervised by licensed nurses
  • Pleasant, friendly, and dependable
  • Knowledgeable about their work, required to have at least one year previous experience in the healthcare industry
  • Bonded and insured for general and professional liability
  • Required to pass local, state and national background screenings and thorough reference checks
  • Sheltering Arms assumes responsibility for supervision, monitoring, and placement
  • Employees of Sheltering Arms Seniors Services
  • Required to participate in at least twelve hours of continuing education per year
